Color Study, Squares with Concentric Circles, 1913

***Playing off of Concentric Circles***
Radial Design Lesson:  Each student is responsible for one complete circle with a chosen theme.
Split circle into quarters,  exchange three pieces, reassemble and adhere to a piece of construction paper cut to size.  Student could be given a few minutes to add additional color or lines to unify the four pieces.   Display whole class grouped in a large mural format.

Kcochel - Waterfall 1 & 2,  1900 & 1902

Landscape Lesson: Using oil pastels, water soluble oil pastels, or crayons to create a waterfall picture with a foreground, middle ground, and background.  Students can use black watercolor over the regular oil pastel or crayons (depends on what you have available to you) or just a brush & water for the water soluble oil pastels to finish the work.
